2nd day of PTU 14th Annual athletic meet

Today,had a lot of traveling,about 500km.so tiring,ek toh raat me 1 baje soya,aur subha me 5 baje uthna tha taki 6 baje tak bus pakad sake.

today,we(me and my class mate Nikhil Garg)had our events in 110 m mens hurdles.we were required to reach the event ground

after the lunch.our bus started from the RIMT campus at around 6:20 am,20 minutes after its scheduled time waiting for the late ones.

in midst our journey we stopped at khanna,waiting there for the day scholar athletes to board the bus.There we all had a little chuski of chai,and finally we got into going.

in the between it stopped once more and finally we were all together and et in for the grand finale.

we reached the SANT. BABA BHAG SINGH'S EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX at around 10: am.

we arrived late,actually starting ceremony was going on,our team had very less time for to get prepared and take part,so we had nothing to do but to gaze.

Our team consisted of about 50 members comprising of athletes from RIMT management,architecture,IET(morning and evenng shift),Agrasen colleges.

my group had 3 members(Me,Avinash Jaiswal and Nikhil Garg).Avinash was from IET Evening shift and Nikhil was my classmate.

we inquired about our events,Nikhil and mine events were same,we took part in 200 m sprint and 110 m hurdles.200 M race event was to commence around 4 p.m. after lunch,so we were relaxed on the other hand Avinash and others had their events before lunch.

we had not much to do before lunch so decided to have few glances here and there.....

we placed chairs just beside track to watch team's performing.

In between we had a couple of refreshments at the refreshment stall.there was lassi,crude sugarcane juice and tea.

Before lunch we started our warmup with little jogging,stretching and conditioning.

in lunch we just had  a chapati roll and a little cold drink and we were ready for the showdown.

My Feelings just before our race

Just before the race,Nikhil and me came to know that we were in the same heat.ohhhhh,aab hamari phatne wali thi.....

Our was was very poor,we started quite late in response to the starting clap,which led to our downfall.

I finished at 4th and Nikhil at 5th.Ahhhh if our starting would had been better then the result could had been in our favour.Atleast we both could have grabbed 2nd and 3rd position :D

PTU Annual sports 2011

It's exciting to be a part of the college team.It fells good,proudy....
that's what one should  suppose to be feel,yeah. A day before yesterday we were(IET-Morning batch)supposed to give the trails for the selection in the college team for the PTU Annual sports meet 2011,which is scheduled to occur at SBBSIET ,Jalandhar but they didn't occur,especially we hostelers were called again at 5:00 pm for the same.but again news was the same.Instead the director of the sports gave a reason that we should do some warmups before the trail,which was ok from our perspective.later when our warmups went over we again approached him for our trails.
This time we were fired to hear that our trails will take place tomorrow the same time i.e 5:00 pm.That was pathetic .we were running here n there and they just really didn't care.
The worst news came tomorrow.when we got a sneakpeak info from IET-Evening batch student Prem singh that our trails will not occur,they are just fooling us,actually thay had their team made previously.The seniors who went for the PTU Annual sports meet last year,are actually supposed to go.
That's very annoying news as far as we 1st year students are concerned.some us are feeling so dejected and literally fckd up.....!!!
I did miss my 4-5 lectures in addition to this we also practiced so as to give our best attempt in the trails,but all in vain...
Now the news that i am getting is that there will be a college sports meet after in a month or so.....
so,i'm now looking forward to that....
